Lake Gaston Ladies Club

Lake Gaston Ladies Club is a non-profit social club for women who live on Lake Gaston or in Lake Gaston subdivisions. Its mission is to provide friendship and support to its members and to participate in outreach programs designed to help those in our community.

Forty plus years ago in 1976 when few people lived on Lake Gaston and the subdivisions were widely scattered, it was difficult for newcomers to meet one another. It was then a handful of ladies gathered in each other's homes to share a dish for lunch. As the lake population increased, participation in the group grew rapidly. The secret was out. In 1978, LGLC was formally organized. From that meager beginning we've blossomed into a very active social club.

We're truly a unique organization, encompassing two states and five counties, with more than 450 members in one club - there's none other quite like us in the USA!

We have a 14 member Board of Directors, 11 Standing Committees, and over 20 Activity Groups. We publish a membership directory and a newsletter which we call Shore Lines. Both are available to our members online and/or in print.

Our monthly luncheon meetings, besides being a wonderful place to renew old friendships and make new ones, are both informative and entertaining.

Our 2017-18 theme is "Better When I'm Dancin'"

Life may not be the party we hoped for; but while we're here, we should dance.* As we come together for fellowship and fun, may we all dance as one whether we know the steps or not. Moving together in harmony, we learn patience and kindness. Watching us dance is hearing our hearts speak**
