The John 3:16 Center
This non-profit organization strives to eradicate generational poverty in Warren, Halifax, and Northampton counties through a variety of services that support education and strengthen families. Services include an after school program, GED classes, summer camps, parenting classes, assistance with resume writing and job searches, Bible study, emergency housing for families that suffer a housing catastrophe, a Christmas outreach program, school supply support to local schools, an emergency food pantry, etc. Here is a partial list of ways that you can help:

  • Volunteers are needed to support Wired for Success, an after school program that helps children improve academic skills.

  • Volunteers are needed to support the Christmas Outreach Program and other community services throughout the year.

  • Canned goods are needed year round to support the food pantry.

  • School supplies are collected during summer months and are delivered to local elementary schools to stock the classrooms.

  • Toys, books, and puzzles are needed before Christmas to support the Christmas Outreach program.

  • Financial support is needed for all programs and donations are appreciated year round.
